Three Scottish Councils Begin Mobile Coverage Mapping
Three Scottish local authorities are carrying out checks on the quality of network reception and helping to identify mobile blackspots across their areas.
Three Scottish local authorities have launched mobile coverage mapping programmes with Streetwave, undertaking systematic checks on network reception quality across their areas to identify and document connectivity blackspots.
The councils join a growing number of Scottish local authorities using Streetwave’s measurement technology to build an evidence base for connectivity improvements. Coverage data is being collected via council fleet vehicles fitted with Streetwave sensors, providing comprehensive area-wide measurement at low cost.
The initiative follows similar programmes already completed or underway in Argyll & Bute, Inverclyde and Monmouthshire, and adds to Streetwave’s growing footprint across Scotland.
